LIFE

Well, I'm sure most people have heard of the saying, ' Just another day in paradise', and it's opposite, 'Just another day in hell'. Of course, everyone gets their share of troubles and of joys, too. It's still a bummer though when the troubles come.
I know a number of people facing some major life changing situations this year. Although, there's always ups and downs, it just seems that 2007 has been a year for major ups and unfortunately, downs for a lot of people known to me. I'm hoping that 2008 is a much brighter, happier year for everyone. Let the pains be gone!!! I have faith that it is often darkest just before the dawn.
Here's wishing everyone out there a very happy new year!!!!!!!

Family....!

Well, I got to spend some quality time with both my sons on Thanksgiving.  All went nicely, except for my oldest son got trapped at my home due to bad weather conditions.  I'm still healing from breaking my jaw, so I just ate the soft (no need to chew) stuff.  It worked for me.  Unfortunately, the turkey breast I bought was not a favorite with the boys ( Honeysuckle White Tenderloin), oh well!  It was eatable and I had made chicken breast just in case the tenderloin wasn't enough.  It all worked out.  All in all, it was a very nice Thanksgiving.  Bye for now.

Just finding my way again....

Well, it's strange how soon I forget how to do something if I don't do it on a regular bases.  It's almost Turkey Day and I think my last posting was in Sept.  It took giving up and going back to my wonderful son's blogging info that he E mailed me to figure out how to post on my blog.  I still don't remember how to post right on my blog.  I'm going to Email this post due to a link my son set up for me a long time ago, which by the way, I forgot was included in the Email my son sent me until I'd tried all kinds of stuff while looking at my blog and couldn't figure out how to post to it.
Well, enough about my posting problems.  I'm sure given time I'll get better at this.  I was subjected to an injury to my jaw (and at least one molar) when I tripped over an upraised piece of sidewalk during a night time walk.  I broke a molar and my jaw.  I'm healing (I'm in my fourth week since the injury), my doctor says it'll be about 6 - 8 weeks before all is well.
Of course, today is Monday and the nicest day (temp wise) that we've had in a while.  I'm hoping for a few nice weather days so as to not put off my shopping for Christmas.  It get harder every year for some reason to know what to buy for everyone and to get my shopping done.  I used to have everything bought and wrapped and stored away before Thanksgiving.  As we all eventually say, 'Those were the days !'  Well, that's all for now.  Happy Holidays everyone!!!

Thanks

I graduated high school with high honors, being forced to sit on stage
with an embarrassing gold medal around my neck. But I was proud of
myself. I worked hard to get that far, and it was largely due to the
encouragement I had.
I graduated college with two degrees and high honors. I had that same
encouragement.
I became an automation engineer, network administrator, and now a
controls engineer….all with the same encouragement as before.
So with the greatest challenges yet still ahead of me, I look back to
the things I accomplished and understand the reasons behind them. One
of the largest reasons is the encouragement I have always had.
There has never been a time in my life that I can think of that I have
not known that kind of support to be there.
And I wanted to thank you for that. I have the ability to be me because
of your continued support and encouragement.
Thanks mom.

Day Out !!!!

Well, this is really more than a day out, but.... I worked Friday until 12:30 am, (actually Saturday morning). I left work and drove approximately 60 miles to go to my son's place in Conneaut, OH, (I live and work in Warren, OH). I arrived and we planned that Saturday we would return to Warren so my son could help replace a washing machine pump on our washer that he needs up in Conneaut, ( his new enviro since August when he moved there and started a new, better, job). This would get me out of town, which I desperately needed. and conserve gas and mileage on his vehicle, which gets enough miles just going to work and back every day since he lives in Conneaut, OH and works in Erie, PA. I arrived safely and around 1:45 pm on Sat. we head first to the area library to return a book he had that was due and then to Warren, OH to work on the washer. We didn't quite get it all done, but , we're on the right track. Two more errands and we headed back to Conneaut, OH, where my son has to find a golf course his immediate boss expects him to arrive at on Sunday by 11:30 a.m. He not only has never golfed before, but he's never been to where the golf course is located before, either. It in Venago, PA. About 55 min. away. Well let's just say that this is where the day took a big detour towards the bad. There was darkness, fog, bad directions and roads that weren't suppose to dead end, but did. All in all, it was stressful for everyone involved. All went well, however, on Sunday. The course was found easily, and hopefully all remained good. I have to wait to see how it all turns out myself. Well, more that's enough for now. Bye.

What's been going on.

Well, another weekend is in sight.  Ya Hoo !!!!  There's a lot to do.  There's a lot to get done.  But.......!   Well, the weather is excellent and the sun is calling, so perhaps a little enjoyment will have to be a priority.  A ride on my motorcycle, maybe a picnik, a visit to a friend or two, ect....  Work is always a part of life, and I'm making an effort to make sure that enjoyment is just as big a part of life.  After all we all get only one.
Soon as I have time to figure it out, I've got some pictures I want to add to my blog.  For now this small addition will have to do.

nelson ledges national park

This is labor day weekend.  My son Jaeson and I went to the park to hike a little. We've riden aour motorcycles there before, but drove the car this time.  It was a nice time.  The park is not far from where I live, bout 20 min.  I live in Warren, Ohio and the park is in Southington, Ohio.  Later that same weekend my other son, a friend of the family named Sundee and I went to my oldest son's place in Conneaut, Ohio and had a cookout.  We also went to the beach, the Lake Erie beach near his home.  A good time was had by all.  It was my oldest first cookout at his new apartment.

A day out!!!

I was looking for some way to enjoy the day and decided to visit a family member, my son Jaeson. He lives about an hour and a half away in Conneaut, Ohio. I brought some food and when I got there we first went for a short walk, then a short ride then back to his place. He has a really nice place, sort of secluded and real peaceful. Boy can we all use some of that, huh? Well, we watched a movie, and ate some food. He is trying to show me the ropes of blogging so that's what this is. Not very interesting, but perhaps I'll get better. I'll have to head home soon so he can get some sleep. I've had my day out. Nice, huh? Well, that's all for now.
